North Church Window, North Wall, Number 1 (east to west)

Presented by Sunday School of

In the central insignia are White Lilies, signifying purity, a classic image for the Virgin Mary. Three lilies could indicate the Trinity. (See window North Wall, Number 2; South Wall, Number 4) In the upper arc, the star is likely the Star of Bethlehem. The lower rectangle has a wreathe round a stylized Cross, either Maltese or Patee. (These cross types have no obvious meaning in this window.) The overall theme is the Nativity.
