The Eastern Coast of Maine Quality of Place project is a long term initiative of TIMA to explore the overlapping natural, built, and cultural environments of place and develop an online Quality of Place resource. The initiative includes objectives to bring more of TIMA’s wide ranging cultural collections online. These collections range from paintings, prints and photographs; to decorative arts, maps, and pottery and glass; to architectural plans and elements, textiles and furniture; to ship models and more. The initiative has also developed over 100 online spherical panoramas of special places along the eastern coast of Maine that bring these places to the computer screen. In addition, the initiative is developing an online architectural resource of the built environment along the eastern coast of Maine.
