Decorative Arts
This collection consists of examples of decorative arts of the region dating from the early 18th century to early 20th century. Ranging from furniture to ceramics, from clocks to light fixtures, from silver to glass to jewelry, most of the items had passed down through families and houses in the region before coming into the collections. They reflect the cultural legacy of the region. Many other items had left the area and were returned when they came into the collections.
