Civil War Mural Panels, Meade Post No. 40, Grand Army Hall, Eastport, Maine

The historic Civil War Mural Panels, dating to mid-1880s, are the only ones known to exist in Maine. They are believed to be the work of talented finish painter, Henry Harrington, of Eastport, Maine. They were restored by Tony Castro of New Gloucester, Maine over two years in 2021 and 2022. Support for the restoration came from the Mildred McEvoy Foundation, the Stephen & Tabitha King Foundation, Bangor Savings Bank Foundation, the Eastern Maine Conservation Initiative and a great many private individuals.
