The Tides Institute & Museum of Art (TIMA) Library collection of books totals about 4,000 volumes with particular concentrations on the greater Passamaquoddy region (history, literature, guidebooks and so forth), New England and the Atlantic Provinces, as well as a focus on several broader subject areas including architecture, art, gardening, historic preservation, photography, and printmaking. The library includes a vertical file reference collection of articles and pamphlets particularly relating to the greater Passamaquoddy region. The library includes a number of rare materials relating to the greater Passamaquoddy region. While restoration of the TIMA facility continues, access to the TIMA library collection is limited. The online database to the TIMA library collection is currently being upgraded and is not available at this time. It is expected to be available by the end of 2011.
