BANGOR SAVINGS BANK

The Eastport Savings Bank is located on Water Street, and is built in the Italianate style of architecture. This three story brick building repeatedly employs the arch in construction; in its doorways, windows and ornamental brick work. It was designed in 1887 after the major fire of 1886. The Police Station used the ground floor until 1975-1976, and the third floor was used for city rooms. The building is now occupied only by the Bangor Savings Bank. AFN, JCB
