Address:
39 Boynton Street
Eastport, Maine

• From Eastport Sentinel, July 1, 1890, p.3,c.1: “Among the fine residences in town that have recently been improved in appearance by a coat of paint, is that of Mr. Herbert Kilby, at the corner of Water and Adams Sts. - new and modern style house which has lately received the finishing touches of the painter upon its exterior. Another, is Mrs. Celia Paines residence on Boynton St., which when it was built by the late Isaac Kilby, was considered one of the handsomest houses in town, and with the additions since built, still retains that character. It never looked better than at the present time, with its new coat of a rich chocolate tint, with lighter trimmings. Mr. Amos Boyds new house near the Carrying Place has been completed this summer and tastefully painted, so that it is now one of the prettiest cottages in that part of the island. Policeman Mitchell has also improved his house at North End by repairs and a new coat of paint.”

• From Eastport Sentinel, May 6, 1891, p.3,c.2: “The addition of a handsome piazza has recently been made to the house of Mrs. Celia Paine, on Boynton street; the work was done by Mr. Thomas Creary and son.”
