The western side of Grand Manan is treacherous to humans. With rock so hard that it cannot be drilled for water and cliffs so steep that a harbor is unimaginable, it is no wonder the Passamaquoddy never thought to give it a name. To me, this dangerous, barren land is a breeding ground for mischief.
