ORIGINAL LATE NINETEENTH CENTURY LINOLEUM PATTERN recently discovered during continuing restoration work at the Tides Institute & Museum of Art building. The linoleum is believed to have served as the original floor covering for two office spaces on the second floor of the building when the building was constructed in 1887. Two strips of the linoleum were found used as shims underneath an original oak floor just outside of where the offices were located. The institute is exploring the possibility of replicating in some fashion this original linoleum pattern on the ground floor of the building,
